Imagine walking in the wilderness and relying on a pillar of cloud by day and a pillar of cloud by night. Preparing to go into the promised land but facing giants. Then wandering around the wilderness for another 40 years waiting on God to speak and move.
And then God gives directions on building a tabernacle and declaring that he might “dwell” among his people.
The temple is not a place to go where people can meet God.
