“You have not withheld from me your son, your one and only son.” Genesis 22:12 NLT
This is an interesting thing for God to say to Abraham. Because Abraham did have another son. He had Ishmael (except that he had sent him away).
We often receive the blessings from our parents. We also receive the curses of our parents.
Isaac was no different. He had to live with both the good and the bad from his parents.
God so loved the world that He gave His one and only son. The story isn’t about us, it’s about God and His love for us and what He’s done for us through Jesus.
If God desires that everyone would come to know Him, what does it mean to be a part of that promise?
