Some of you have been wrestling with God (or perhaps you have been wrestling in wondering where God is in the midst of your struggles).

In this part of the story, Jacob is wrestling with himself. He is alone. He has been sent from his family. He is going to a new place to begin his family. . . Without mom. Without dad.
But in this wrestling, in this fighting, God is doing something new. And He wants to do way more than simply give you some new definitions for words. He stands ready to fight with you. To wrestle with you. To kick up the dust. But He also stands ready to fight for you. To give you a new name.
