In each of the stories above, God has to give the people in the story a new perspective.

I spent the last week looking at my own past to begin looking in the future:
- 55 years ago today, my eyes saw the first light of day.
- 40 years ago today, I received my learner's permit for driving.
- 39 years ago today, I received my driver's license.
- 37 years ago today, I registered to vote and registered with the selective service.
- 6 years ago today, I was installed as lead pastor of The Naz and 5 months later the church was hit by a tornado.

Roughly 2 years ago, at the behest of the city we began working on a new master plan for the campus which would be a huge undertaking. To be honest, I was ready for someone else to take on that plan a few years down the road, but God had a different perspective on the situation.

And that's what I would like to talk to you about today: Our perspective vs. God's perspective.

I would like to take a moment and put a little shift in our perspective. As it pertains to the church:

Rise Up:
- Goal - $3.8 million
- Raised 2.5 million, and other monies that have come in that have not been pledged.
- Collected $800,000
- You have risen up in Prayer.
- You have risen up in Generosity.
- Now is the time to rise up in Action.

Nate Bargatze on Marriage
- Marriage Mentors
- Marriage Course begins this Wednesday.

Drug Problem - I was drug to church Sunday morning, Sunday night, and Wednesday night.
- For those struggling with addiction they need someone to come to them.
- The Prodigal Father waited on the porch.
- The Son of God was sent to seek and to save the lost.

For something to grow…something else must die.
- “Every new beginning comes from some other beginning’s end.” -Lucius Annaeus Seneca

Worry and anxiety happen when we move our perspective from the present to the future or the past.

There are always people behind the stories of Why.

Don’t wait for the people to show up at the new facilities at The Naz.
