Genesis 1:1-2 (NLT)
- In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.

Psalm 33:6 (NLT)
- By the word of the Lord the heavens were made, and all the host of them by the breath [Spirit] of His mouth."

Israelites freed from slavery:
Exodus 14:21 (NLT)
- God Blew over the waters of the Red Sea, leading Israel out of the old world of bondage and into their new blessed life.

Mary with child:
Luke 1:35 (NLT)
- The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Highest will overshadow you.

Jesus' Baptism:
John 1:32 (NLT)
- Then John testified, "I saw the Holy Spirit descending like a dove from heaven and resting upon him."

Pentecost:
Acts 2:1-4 (NLT)
- When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place. Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting. They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them.

The Holy Spirit is God's agent of creation and new creation.

Romans 8:9 (NLT)
- You, however, are not in the realm of the flesh but are in the realm of the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, they do not belong to Christ.

Romans 8:14 (NLT)
- For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God.

2 Corinthians 5:16-17 (NLT)
- So we have stopped evaluating others from a human point of view. At one time we thought of Christ merely from a human point of view. How differently we know Him now! This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!
