Healthy vs Unhealthy (NIV, NET, NRSV)
Clear vs Bad (NASB)
Good vs Bad (NKJV)
Single vs Evil (KJV)
Sound vs Not Sound (RSV)
Stingy: "Evil of Eye" - Proverbs 23:6 - Don't eat with people who are stingy; don't desire their delicacies.
Greedy: "Evil of Eye" - Proverbs 28:22 - Greedy people try to get rich quick but don't realize they're headed for poverty.
Evidently the eyes are the windows to the body...and the soul
Is your eye sound? Do you have a “good eye?” Does your eye see what God’s eye sees? Does it give light to your body, or is the light extinguished?
What does it mean for God to be our vision? It means that when we give, we not only give out of the prosperity he has shared with us. . . but when we give, we realize that we are actually giving back to him. . . Whenever you have done it to one of the least of these my brethren. . . you’ve done it unto me.
