Description

The Bible speaks a lot about the final week and days of Jesus’ life on Earth. We know that He is eternal and existed long before He came to earth as the baby in the manger. He is alive forevermore! The tomb could not hold Him nor death keep Him. He is the resurrection and the life! As we look into His final week of His life, there is much that we can learn. This event is significant as it is the last week of Jesus’ life on earth.

Luke 18:31 Then He took the twelve aside and said to them, “Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and all things which are written through the prophets about the Son of Man will be accomplished. 32 For He will be handed over to the Gentiles, and will be mocked and mistreated and spit upon, 33 and after they have scourged Him, they will kill Him; and the third day He will rise again.” 34 But the disciples understood none of these things, and the meaning of this statement was hidden from them, and they did not comprehend the things that were said.

Although Jesus told His disciples these things, they didn’t register. For the Jewish nation, they had waited for 400+ years for Messiah to come. Jesus performed many miracles while He was with them. They had asked Him many times to disclose if He was Messiah. This event that we’re looking at today assured everyone that He was. This event is recorded in all four Gospels. Our Bibles call it ‘The Triumphal Entry’ when Jesus entered Jerusalem.
