We have recently watched the last few Avengers films. I won’t disclose any spoilers, so don’t worry. Now you may be asking where have I been? I think the last film I had seen was Avengers Assemble.

I made an observation watching these films. Think of every film, tv show or book you’ve read that includes not only a villain, but a supervillain. Seemingly every evil villain seeks power, control, worship, riches, and/or immortality. As we watched this supervillain, Thanos, desiring to rule the universe, he was after 6 Infinity Stones that would give him ultimate power. Many villains are after power. They yearn for control over everyone else.

Every supervillain has evil intent. Of course that is to contrast the superhero who is portrayed to be pure in heart and who is very sacrificial with their own lives. He lives for the greater good of everyone else.

Here is my observation: God actually HAS ultimate power in the universe. He is the Creator of all things. He doesn’t need to snap His fingers or gather infinity stones together.
