I am going to talk about a well, a fountain and a meeting that happened near this well. One location and one of the most powerful encounters in history: Jesus and the Samaritan woman.
So let’s read in the gospel of John, chapter 4 from verse 4.
This well was dug in the rock. Do you have any idea of the difficulty of this type of excavation for that time? Look how interesting it is: digging a well could be considered an act of faith at that time. Even more so when it was dug in the rock. Who could have imagined that water could be extracted from the rock? Only God could have directed Jacob in this regard. Can you imagine this scene? Jacob was a sheep farmer. He necessarily needed water to raise his sheep, his livestock. He bought land outside the city, started to dig a well. Then he was faced with the rock. He could have given up but the voice of God said: Continue! Do not give up! Persevere! You will get it! You will achieve what you need! I'm with you! Hallelujah!
