Description

We are looking at Exodus 16 today. After 400 years of slavery, Israel had just experienced the greatest miracle beyond their wildest imaginations. God Himself had hand-delivered them from the Egyptians! He heard their groaning under their slavery, abuse and sent them a deliverer, Moses. Moses had a miracle that preserved his own life (we looked at that a few weeks ago) and would be the instrument used by God to bring His people out of slavery. The miraculous was a daily occurance with them, but what do we read and hear most of the time coming from them? Praises? Thanksgiving? No. Grumbling and complaining. Be careful as it is highly contagious. They had a bad habit of always seeing the negative in every situation. God was working among them and they chose -it is a choice- to complain. We CAN have hearts of gratitude, if we choose to. It can be hard, but we can praise through difficulties and trials and pain.
