Radio Uzo is a live show that comes on at 9 PM on YouTube every Saturday. For just thirty minutes you are transported into my world, full of gists, story time, discussions on important matters, and wonderful music. Radio Uzo is hosted by me, Uzo, a 6'4, tall, dark, intelligent, and interesting figure. I grew up in Lagos, Nigeria and I moved to America when I was 14. Assimilation was a huge part of my teenage years as I was grappling with learning a new culture while holding onto the one I had grown up on. Nine years later, I am this weird hybrid of a proper Igbo guy mixed with a very Texan state of mind. This is all evident in my music, way of thinking, fashion sense, and overall approach to my creative outlet. Come hang out with me every Saturday at 9 PM and I hope we can get to know one another.
