Description

Commentators often say that the economy is at a crossroads, whether it is about load shedding or next year’s general election. Maybe this time it's more like a T-junction. There is no path on which we can "muddle through". Important and difficult choices must be made.

But before I talk any more about that the Economics Minute is going on vacation. Many thanks to everyone who has listened along so far.

A daily broadcast does not always happen easily and I want to say a special thank you to Christine for her input and patience with the Minute throughout the year. Many thanks also to the NWU Business School for their support along with the episode sponsors that contributed throughout the year. The episode notes provide a more complete list of acknowledgements for all who use and support the Minute. Best wishes for the new year everyone.
