Description

Last year, the Minister of Trade and Industry lifted anti-dumping tariffs on imported chicken in order to reduce the price of imported chicken and help consumers who are struggling with high food price inflation. Now local poultry producers are applying for the tariffs to be reinstated. One thinks the issue is as simple as, does the Minister want to help the industry or the consumer, but it is more complicated than that.
