Description

The Minister of Finance took a strong stance yesterday
afternoon and made it clear that he is continuing with the fiscal consolidation process to stabilize the budget deficit and government debt. He said virtually nothing about VAT relief, the fuel price, extra funding for education or health care positions and made it clear that he did not support the 4.7% wage increase offer the Department of Public Services and Administration made to civil service unions.
