Description

Yesterday, Statistics South Africa announced the results of the third quarter labour force survey - that is the period July, August and September. The unemployment rate decreased from 33.9% to 32.9%. Measured according to the broad definition that includes the discouraged workers, the rate also decreased by one percentage point to 43.1%. The industries where jobs were created are manufacturing, trade, construction, and transport.
