A CALL TO A LIFE OF HOLINESS
Tuesday 3rd September 2024
As we pray and seek God for the last move of the Holy Spirit over the earth, one of the things the Lord expects of us, is to live a life that honors Him.
1 Peter 1:16 because it is written, [ "Be holy, for I am holy."]
If you want to walk with God, you must make up your mind to be Holy; to be set apart or separated.
We are saved by grace but the bible requires you and I to live a sanctified life. We must look more like Jesus daily, by pursuing holiness whole heartedly.
2 Timothy 2:20-21 But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and silver, but also of wood and clay, some for honor and some for dishonor. Therefore if anyone cleanses himself from the latter, he will be a vessel for honor, sanctified and useful for the Master, prepared for every good work.
Are you a vessel for special or ordinary use? In other words, does your life bring honor to God or not?
When you yield yourself to the Holy Spirit, you become a vessel of honor but when you allow the enemy to find expression in your life, you become a vessel of dishonor.
Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; [it is] the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.
We are not saved by good works but we have been saved to do good works. The things you do are the proof of the fruit of your salvation.
Jesus woke up early one morning, saw a fig tree from afar and He hurried to get something from it, but when He found no fruit, He cursed it. (Matthew 21:18-19)
What are the fruits of your life? Never let the grace of God upon your life be in vain. Do not be a man or woman who is sold to believing the lies of the enemy, but be sold to a life of holiness, purity and integrity in honor of God. (Daniel 1:8)
2 Timothy 3:12 Yes, and all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution.
There is a degree of suffering you will go through when you stand for righteousness. However, you don't have to budge because the Holy Spirit will always see you through as long as you keep yourself in sync with Him.
Matthew 5:13-14
The bible says that once salt loses its saltiness, it's of no use. This means that if you compromise by living in sin, your testimony dies and you become irrelevant.
What caused Adam and Eve to be chased out of the Garden of Eden and lose their placement, was sin. (Genesis 3:23)
Sin will deceive you for a season and in the end, it will destroy you. Sin leads to a spiritual death that will affect your marriage, relationship and finances among others.
Isaiah 6
It was until the Lord touched Isaiah’s lips, cleansed and removed his iniquity, that He asked; "Whom shall I send, who shall go for us?"
God was looking for someone to send but none was qualified. He is still looking for a man to do His work. However, He expects you to be living a Holy life. Your words and actions must reveal the nature you have received. (Matthew 7:16)
There is a call from Heaven to live a life that honors God. If your lifestyle does not honor God, let it end here today. The Holy Spirit is on the inside of you, to help you overcome sin.
