A CALL TO HOLINESS
Monday 10th October 2022

2 Timothy 2:20 (AMPC) But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and silver, but also [utensils] of wood and earthenware, and some for honorable and noble [use] and some for menial and ignoble [use].

The question you need to ask yourself is "what kind of vessel am I?"

Apostle Paul wrote those things meaning there are different categories of vessels in the house of the Lord.

2 Timothy 2:21 Therefore if anyone cleanses himself from the latter, he will be a vessel for honor, sanctified and useful for the Master, prepared for every good work.

It is not enough for you and me to cry out "Lord use me", are you yielding to the Holy Spirit so that He can do His surgical work in your life? There is a role you have to play to purge yourself (2 Corinthians 6:1)

It is not enough to desire, you have to walk in obedience to what the Holy Spirit is showing you and the written code that has been revealed to you.

Joshua 3:5 And Joshua said to the people, "Sanctify yourselves, for tomorrow the LORD will do wonders among you."

Our God is a Holy God and He demands us to walk like Him. The time has come , for us to stop cherishing and holding on to things that we know have become a hindrance to the working of God in our lives.

Hebrews 12:14 Make every effort to live in peace with everyone and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord.

God can not be bribed by forty days of fasting, and ten hours of prayer, the standard of heaven is the same.

We would rather have you; pray for only one hour but obey the instructions of God rather than pray for ten hours and do your own things (1 Thessalonians 4:7).

No man is not tempted, as long as they are in this body of flesh but it depends on what you see. Don't be like Esau who couldn't withstand the test of hunger and sold his birthright and lived to regret the rest of his life (Genesis 25:29-34).

John 15:2 Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every [branch] that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit.

Let us not toy with sin, sin is anything that God tells us not to do, it's beyond the written code.

The Bible is the foundation but there are certain speakings of God in your life; people, and places that God has told you to let go and you are insisting on them.

Hebrews 4:2 For indeed the gospel was preached to us as well as to them; but the word which they heard did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in those who heard [it.]

We must purpose within ourselves and allow the Holy Spirit to work on us and ask Him for the grace to be transformed and live a life that pleases Him.

We are here on earth today because one man chose to obey the instructions of God. Let us make up our minds to walk in obedience to what we are hearing.

Ecclesiastes 10:8 KJV He that diggeth a pit shall fall into it; and whoso breaketh an hedge, a serpent shall bite him.

Your holiness, purity, and righteousness never profit God; He gains nothing from it but it protects you from unnecessary attacks of the enemy.

Romans 12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, [which is] your reasonable service.

The best and only thing you can offer to God is offering yourself as a Holy sacrifice. What else can you offer to Him?

The beautiful thing is that the Holy Spirit has been given to live inside you to help you live this life.

Let us awake to this truth as individuals and as a church, and let go of those things that the Holy Spirit is telling us to let go .
