DRIVEN BY LOVE

Monday 16th May 2022

Psalms 42:1-2 As the deer pants for the water brooks, So pants my soul for You, O God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God...

Anointed as David was, sitting at the throne, and having everything any man could desire, he sustained a yearning and longing for God that put him a class apart from all kings that reigned over the nation of Israel.

Proverbs 16:26 NIV The appetite of laborers works for them; their hunger drives them on.

Every time the enemy wants to knock out any believer or get them destructed, he tampers with his yearning/thirst for God.

He puts you in a place where you are duty driven rather than love driven in the religious activities you get involved in.

2 Chronicles 25:2 And he did what was right in the sight of the Lord, but not with a loyal heart.

There is nothing wrong with doing right/being duty-bound/engaging in religious activities but God judges the motives of our hearts (1 Samuel 16:7).

That's why we ought to check our hearts whether we are driven by love or "I must".

2 Corinthians 5:14 For the love of Christ compels us,...

It is from a place of love that you can not fail to get the attention of heaven.

Is your seeking, giving, preaching, worshipping, etc compelled by love? We must practice religious activities from a place of love rather than I must/have to.

Luke 18:10-14 “Two men went up to the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, ‘God, I thank You that I am not like other men—extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this tax collector....

The pharisee left the place of prayer satisfied with himself yet his prayer had made little impact in the spirit.

Revelation 2:4 Nevertheless I have this against you, that you have left your first love.

Why do you do the things you do? (1 Corinthians 13:13)

Reconsider, reexamine yourself if you are still moved by the right motive, and ask God to bring back the first love if you know you have missed it.

STAY BLESSED AND HIGHLY, FAVORED, WE LOVE YOU. PASTOR BEN OCHOLA.!
