FELLOWSHIP WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT (PART II)- first Service.
2 Corinthians 13:14 The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all. Amen.
We can never enjoy what the Father has given us through His Son without the Holy Spirit.
The Father is the source, the Son is the expression and the Holy Spirit is the enjoyment.
John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, ...
The love of God was expressed through and in His Son Jesus Christ (Romans 8:39).
Jesus showed the love by dying on the cross. When He went, He sent the Holy Spirit.
John 16:7 It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you.
We wouldn't be drawn to the love of God except through the Holy Spirit (John 6:44).

The Holy Spirit took the Word (Jesus) and put it in the womb of Mary. Without Him, we wouldn't have known Jesus and enjoyed the things of God without Him.
He also helps us to understand the word of God because He is the author of the Bible (2 Peter 1:21, 2 Timothy 3:16).
You get all the benefits you need when you walk in fellowship with the Holy Spirit.
Revelation 3:14-20 “And to the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write,..... Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.
The people in the church of Laodicea knew that they were rich and wealthy yet the heavens looked at them as wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked.
You can be successful without involving the Holy Spirit because man was given a natural intelligence. However, what makes you a class apart from the nonbelievers is the fellowship with the Holy Spirit and His ministry.
The Holy Spirit is the person that knocks at the door (heart), not Jesus. He will come and have fellowship with you if you respond to that knocking.

God has always wanted to indwell man. This explains why Jesus is in the person of the Holy Spirit.
God wouldn't give us His attributes one by one but He sent the Holy Spirit that He (God) may live His life through us.
Genesis 2:9 And out of the ground the Lord God made every tree grow that is pleasant to the sight and good for food. The tree of life was also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.
The tree of life represents Jesus. The devil didn't tempt man to eat from the tree of life but rather the tree of knowledge of good and bad because he knew it comes from his nature (Genesis 3).
God had created man with the capacity to receive the life of God which is superior. He had told him to eat from the tree of life so that he could not die. However, when he sinned, he became spiritually dead.
Jesus left heaven to bring life to the spirit of man that had died. This explains why salvation is better than creation because at creation, man didn't have the life of God but at salvation, they receive the life of God in the person of the Holy Spirit.
God dwells inside of us and it is through fellowship with the Holy Spirit that we become aware of what we carry inside us. That's why we need the Holy Spirit more than we need anything.
