MANIFESTING SONSHIP
10th July 2022‐Sunday 1st Service.
Romans 8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.
The only possible way for us to manifest our sonship is by submission and commitment to the leadership and person of the Holy Spirit.
The church in the book of Acts would not have been church had the Holy Spirit not descended upon them and empowered them to do what they did.
Romans 8:19 For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.
Everything is waiting for the manifestation of the sons of God and these are believers who have submitted themselves to the leadership of the Holy Spirit.
Before you're a preacher, a businessman, etc. you are first son of God. It's the sonship that brings you into a place of dominion in your place of assignment.
But not every believer will be able to manifest sonship because most of them are still in control of their lives.
1 Corinthians 3:1-3 And I, brethren, could not speak to you as to spiritual [people] but as to carnal, as to babes in Christ...
You cannot put babies on assignment, nor give them responsibilities. Babies love eating and sleeping.
However, sons take up their Father's responsibility. Their hearts long to propagate the legacy of their fathers.
So sons are believers burdened with the burden of Jesus. They feel what Jesus feels. (Matthew 11:29-30) It's from this place that you begin to fulfill the Kingdom mandate.
And the anointing of the Holy Spirit is released upon the carriers of Jesus's burden.
(John 3:16) For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.
Sons set people free. Wherever sons appear people are set free.
So we must create a right environment in our hearts for the Holy Spirit to have an active involvement in our lives because in many churches and lives the Holy Spirit is passive and suppressed.
John 5:19 Then Jesus answered and said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father do; for whatever He does, the Son also does in like manner.
You chose to either be a son or a child. Children insist to do their own way but sons throw away their will and embrace and run with the will of the Father.
Their businesses, careers, etc. are no longer theirs, it's bigger than that. Their hearts are pumping with the Father's mandate.
They look around for the tools to enable them to carry out the father's business (Luke 2:49).
Luke 5:5-6 But Simon answered and said to Him, “Master, we have toiled all night and caught nothing; nevertheless at Your word I will let down the net.” And when they had done this, they caught a great number of fish, and their net was breaking.
Because you have spoken, things have changed today: a new season has been aired in your life.
Your lifting is the lifting of your friends and everyone connected to you.
1 Corinthians 6:20 For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.
You are no longer on your own you're God's property.
You take instructions from Him alone. You're His program, property, and agenda.
Ecclesiastes 9.11 NLT I have observed something else in this world of ours. The fastest runner doesn't always win the race, and the strongest warrior doesn't always win the battle. The wise are often poor, and the skillful are not necessarily wealthy. And those who are educated don't always lead successful lives. It is all decided by chance, by being at the right place at the right time.
This life of sonship is determined by sensitivity to the Holy Spirit. He will ensure that your at the right place at the right time.
