SEEK AFTER ZION

Wednesday 15th June 2022.

Acts 17:27 (NLT) "His purpose was for the nations to seek after God and perhaps feel their way toward him and find him—though he is not far from any one of us.

As a child of God, when you advance your fellowship with the Holy Spirit, prayer ceases to be an event, it becomes a lifestyle and defines who you are.

Hebrews 11:10 Abraham was confidently looking forward to a city with eternal foundations, a city designed and built by God.

Everywhere Abraham went, he saw works of men but he was looking for something that was built by God because he knew everything of man has an expiry date written over it.

He pursued God looking for a city whose architect was God/ a city built by God to the extent that he lived in tents and never built any permanent building with all the wealth and influence he had.

If you keep looking for what men can do you will arrive but what kept Abraham in search of  God was that he was not seeking something of this world.

He was not after the Canan land, wealth, or influence. He had all these but kept seeking. What was he looking for?  The Zion that is above

John 8:56 Your father Abraham rejoiced to see My day, and he saw [it] and was glad."

Abraham was looking for Jesus. He saw Him on the mountain as he took Isaac to place him on the altar and saw thousands of years in the future.

Nothing of this world could satisfy him not silver, gold, influence, or fame; because he captured the beauty of Jesus.

Daniel 2:34-35 You watched while a stone was cut out WITHOUT HANDS, which struck the image on its feet of iron and clay, and broke them in pieces.....

Daniel 2:45 Inasmuch as you saw that the stone was cut out of the mountain without hands, and that it broke in pieces the iron, the bronze, the clay, the silver, and the gold—the great God has made known to the king what will come to pass after this. The dream is certain, and its interpretation is sure."

A stone came from heaven and crushed the golden image, grew into a Kingdom of God in the person of Jesus.

This is what Abraham was looking for . If you can capture the vision of Zion, you will never be satisfied with the things of this world  nor be deceived by the hand laps of men because your vision is higher, bigger and greater.

This is how you stay in the highway of seeking God , day in and day out.

Hebrews 5:7 [ who, in the days of His flesh, when He had offered up prayers and supplications, with vehement cries and tears to Him who was able to save Him from death, and was heard because of His godly fear,
