THE KINGDOM OF GOD

Romans 14:17 For the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.
Nothing in this world can give you righteousness, peace, and joy except the ministry of the Holy Spirit (Luke 12:15).
John 14:27 Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
The kind of peace that the world talks about is the absence of chaos but the peace Jesus talks about is that of Luke 8:22-25.
Luke 8:22-25 But as they sailed He fell asleep. And a windstorm came down on the lake, and they were filling with water and were in jeopardy. And they came to Him and awoke Him, saying, “Master, Master, we are perishing!” Then He arose and rebuked the wind and the raging of the water. And they ceased, and there was a calm.
How can a man sleep when everything else is going south/wrong? That is the definition of peace that comes from the Holy Spirit.
Jesus calmed the storm not for Himself but for the sake of His disciples because they were in fear. He knew that the peace He had would override the storm.
That is the dimension of Christ that many of us have never walked into. We have learned that we arrive at that destination when everything is fine yet it's not the truth.
Hebrews 13:5 I will never leave you nor forsake you.
The state of righteousness, peace, and joy is more than a feeling, it is the state of the person of Jesus. The person called peace, joy, and righteousness Is Jesus Himself.
1 Corinthians 1:30 But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God—and righteousness and sanctification and redemption—
The kingdom of God is not about the external things that men pride themselves in. When we understand that the kingdom of God is centered on the person of Jesus, we shall know greater peace.
Romans 16:20 And the God of peace will crush Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen.
