THE SACRIFICE OF JESUS CHRIST
Monday 25th July 2022

We all know that we had no access into the presence of God from the day Adam forfeited his position by his rebellion and disobedience.

Romans 3:23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,

So we couldn't measure up and reach God.

The relationship and fellowship man had with God was cut off. And man started developing all kinds of evil desires which found expression through his life.

Ecclesiastes 7:29 Truly, this only I have found: That God made man upright, But they have sought out many schemes.”

Man is a total destruction to himself when he's apart from God, the source of all good. So the evil one takes advantage of men who don't know God or are not fully yielded to Him and uses them to exercise his operations.

When God leaves you, it's the saddest thing that can ever happen to you. Look at what is happening in the world, in people's lives, this tells you that without God, man will destroy himself.

God's design of man was that man was supposed to live his life dependent on Him not independent of Him.

Revelation 13:8 All who dwell on the earth will worship him, whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.

But God began the pursuit for the man right from Genesis. God was not taken by surprise, you were born and saved outside time though revealed thousands of years ago. Jeremiah 1:5

Hebrews 10:29 Of how much worse punishment, do you suppose, will he be thought worthy who has trampled the Son of God underfoot, counted the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified a common thing, and insulted the Spirit of grace?

That's why we are warned that there will be greater condemnation now than in the Old Testament for those who treat the Blood of Jesus Christ like something cheap.

1 Peter 2:24 who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed.

It cost God His Son, that is the price He paid to get you restored to the life He intended you to have from the beginning. It took the blood.

Man can only approach God through the blood. In the OT was through the blood of animals but now through the blood of Jesus Christ.

That is why the cross is the central theme of the Christian faith and our living because minus the cross we can't access the presence of God.

Hebrews 10:14 For by one offering He has perfected forever those who are being sanctified.

The cross of Jesus is the highest altar, the place of exchange where God gave us His life and we gave Him our death, health for sickness poverty for wealth, etc. Isaiah 53:4-5,10, 2 Corinthians 8:9.

Your salvation, deliverance, wholeness, etc. did not come cheap. Jesus paid a high price that we can access the presence of God and restore the relationship and fellowship we had with the Trinity.

1 Peter 1:18-19 knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, like silver or gold, from your aimless conduct received by tradition from your fathers, but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot.

You were not redeemed with corruptible things. You are more valuable than gold and silver.

It's so sad when you compromise your faith based on silver and gold like Esau who sold his birthright for a plate of soup Hebrews 12:16.

Compromising your Faith is denying the Lord. This can probably be in finances, relationships, etc.
Sometimes you must be willing to go through inconveniences and discomfort for a season because your faith will be put to test.

Why sell yourself or your faith for something below your value? Your cost and value are so high: you cost God His Son.

Ephesians 2:10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.

You are God's construction, His building created for His dwelling. John 14:23

When you have this unders
