THE SECRET TO OBEDIENCE

Tuesday 17th May 2022.

Job 1:3 Also, his possessions were seven thousand sheep, three thousand camels, five hundred yoke of oxen, five hundred female donkeys, and a very large household, so that this man was the greatest of all the people of the East.

Job was the greatest man in the east but he was not born this way. There are some spiritual truths and principles that he engaged in that caused him to rise until he became the greatest.

Proverbs 4:18 But the path of the just [is] like the shining sun, That shines ever brighter unto the perfect day.

As you walk in obedience, the ability to walk in the path of God and discern His ways becomes clearer in your life.

The route to destiny and divine mandate becomes brighter and the chances of you missing it becomes lesser.

Genesis 12:1 Now the LORD had said to Abram: "Get out of your country, From your family And from your father's house, To a land that I will show you.

God didn't unveil everything to Abraham but as he began to journey, God began to reveal things to him concerning his life. This is the life of Faith!

If you take the first step and move in that direction, He will unveil the next and it will get brighter as your obedience increases.

1 John 5:3 For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments....

The proof of our love for God is obedience. How much you love Jesus is revealed by your actions to His instructions.

This is what caused Job to rise. He loved God and His righteousness and thus tapped into secrets that he began to rise and became a force to reckon with (Job 1:1, 29:3).

Psalms 68:6...But the rebellious dwell in a dry [land.]

Look around you! Often if you find your life beginning to go down, it's because of disobedience.

It is only a life of obedience that places you on the highway of increased prosperity, abundance, and peace.

1 Samuel 13:12-13 then I said, 'The Philistines will now come down on me at Gilgal, and I have not made supplication to the LORD.' Therefore I felt compelled, and offered a burnt offering." And Samuel said to Saul, "You have done foolishly. You have not kept the commandment of the LORD your God, which He commanded you...

How many of us have done it foolishly because of pressure and disobedience?

We do things because our eyes are on people and not on God.

God is not impressed by sacrifice but by obedience (1 Samuel 15:22, Hebrews 10:8).

Genesis 2:25 And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.

The moment Adam and Eve fell from the presence of God, they became naked meaning vulnerable. Disobedience makes us vulnerable to attacks of the enemy.

May our eyes be opened so that we may walk and live a life of obedience to the voice of the Holy Spirit and His instructions. This is how we attract the help of heaven, granted protection, and preservation.

STAY BLESSED AND HIGHLY FAVORED, WE LOVE YOU. PASTOR BEN OCHOLA.
