THE STATE OF YOUR HEART

Proverbs 16:1 The preparations of the heart [belong] to man, But the answer of the tongue [is] from the LORD.
The degree of preparation of your heart determines how much you receive of what you are trusting God for. Your heart is a landing field!
If your heart does not measure up to what you are praying for, then God is helpless because He can not give you more than what your heart can contain. The capacity of any believer is in their heart.
Your heart is the container that attracts everything you ask God for until it springs forth into the natural. That's why you must pay attention to it (the heart).
Proverbs 4:23 Keep your heart with all diligence, For out of it [spring] the issues of life.
It is your responsibility to guard and pay attention to the things you permit to enter and stay in your heart because it's what determines the boundaries of your life; that is to say, how high, large, and wide you gonna rise is not determined by your prayers or the words you say but by your heart because that's where life flows from.
That is why you need to let go of the things that the Holy Spirit is telling you to drop that are taking up space in your heart for what you are trusting God for.
1 Samuel 13:14 But now your kingdom shall not continue. The LORD has sought for Himself a man after His own heart, and the LORD has commanded him [to be] commander over His people, because you have not kept what the LORD commanded you."
Saul had been chosen by God and encountered His anointing but his heart was changed which led to the regression of his life. He paid attention to the words of men that changed his heart causing him to devise his ways (1 Samuel 15).
Saul failed to understand that transformation is not a one-time event but a continuous process until Christ comes back.
The sanctification work of the Holy Spirit in a believer's life is a continuous process but it takes sensitivity to His moving upon your heart and agreeing with Him to change you (Hebrews 10:10,14).
John 15:2 Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit. You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you.
Jesus was saying that what He was dealing with was not about sin but the things that are excess, unnecessary, and unwanted in our lives that hinder us from bringing much fruit.
1 Corinthians 10:23 AMPC All things are legitimate [permissible--and we are free to do anything we please], but not all things are helpful (expedient, profitable, and wholesome). All things are legitimate, but not all things are constructive [to character] and edifying [to spiritual life].
Some things may be good but they are not of God. God requires us to move from realms of only seeing good but heartily asking ourselves of what benefit such things are in our lives (heart).
This should be the reasoning of a mature believer; that the Holy Spirit comes with pruning hooks to separate us from what is good but not of God so that we can bring forth much fruit to the glory of the Father.
These things are not in your head or flesh but your heart. That is why Jesus said often that;
A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth evil. For out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks Luke 6:45 NKJV
What noise are you hearing from your heart? What is the Holy Spirit saying to you?
It is wisdom to agree with Him.
Read Mathew 13:1-30
From the parable of the sower, what determines the yielding of the seed is not the seed but the heart. Wherever the heart was not prepared, the seed produced nothing. For any spiritual activity whether prayer, fasting, giving, etc, if the heart is not prepared, whatsoever God ministers to us during that activity does not benefit us.
The degree and intensity of the presence of God in your life is determined
