THERE IS ALWAYS MORE IN GOD
Thursday 28th July 2022.
Romans 2:11 For there is no respect of persons with God.
God reveals Himself to every generation. However how far (the depth of revelation) each one of us journeys with Him depends on our degree of thirst and hunger.
If the devil wants to destroy a generation or a people, he makes them think they have arrived coming to place where there is no more yearning for greater things in the Master (1 Corinthians 8:2). We settle for the status quo and accept what we see around us as normal, yet the dimensions in the God we serve are without numbers.
2 Corinthians 3:18 So all of us who have had that veil removed can see and reflect the glory of the Lord. And the Lord—who is the Spirit—makes us more and more like him as we are changed into his glorious image.
There is always another face God can expose you to and at the revelation of every face, you are transformed into that likeness; that side of Jesus that you have never known (Matthew 8:27).
When we stop pressing in for more (deeper and higher), it is a sign that sickness has entered our bodies and our souls are being plagued by the enemy.
No man genuinely loves God and says he/she has arrived. This is not a lifestyle but we shall spend eternity learning about God; we can never arrive in Him.
How can you arrive in the one that has no beginning and m end? Our lives here and there will be spent getting to know the side of God we have never known before and with every revelation comes with a different degree of worship, honor, and reverence.
Proverbs 16:26 (NIV) The appetite of laborers works for them; their hunger drives them on.
What kind of appetite are you having for the Master? To which depth? Or you have allowed an appetite for other things because the devil is the master of destruction (Hebrews 12:2 AMPC)?
Most of the distractions tamper with our hunger and thirst for the Master. Never allow anything or anyone including yourself to think you have arrived in the master. In this kingdom, if you are exposed to the glory of God and His goodness, you will always want more.
Deuteronomy 3:24 'O Lord GOD, You have begun to show Your servant Your greatness and Your mighty hand, for what god [is there] in heaven or on earth who can do [anything] like Your works and Your mighty [deeds?]
Moses is one of the best examples in the old testament. With all the display of miracles, signs, and wonders, he still cried to God.
Philippians 3:13 Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing [I do,] forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead,
Paul exemplifies the same heart, the man who had encounters with Jesus, was caught up in heaven, saw things which were not permitted for a man to say, wrote three-quarters of the new testament, to an extent that even Peter to whom the keys of heaven had been given said that some of the things Apostle Paul wrote were difficult to understand. This means that Peter read his writings and called him a custodian of the mysteries of God.
God is not a discovery, He is a revelation. He chooses to reveal Himself but the revelation is predicted by hunger, thirst, and pursuit.
Even as you continue to seek His face, ask the Holy Spirit to grant you grace to press in for more.
STAY BLESSED AND HIGHLY FAVORED, WE LOVE YOU. PASTOR BEN OCHOLA.
