Hi everyone! This week, we sat down with Monica Bonny to learn more about nonprofit management.
Monica is an established professional in the nonprofit industry. She has over 20 years of finance, strategy, and operations experience. She currently serves in a dual capacity as the new Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operations Officer at Canal Alliance, a nonprofit that strives to educate, empower, support and partner with motivated immigrants and their families to best meet their unique needs. Previously, as a consultant, Monica led the restructuring efforts of Canal Alliance’s after-school program, to align with the agency’s goal of ensuring college completion for all students. Prior to joining Canal Alliance, Monica served as CFO/COO of Alder Graduate School of Education, a teacher residency program committed to preparing teachers who mirror the demographics of their students. She has also served as a Project Manager for Deloitte Consulting, where she managed operations improvement projects for manufacturing clients. Last but not least, Monica is an MBA graduate from the Wharton School of Business, where she did extensive coursework in nonprofit management.
