A bit about my guest today: Raaginder Singh Momi is a violinist and music composer whose music, as you heard, blends Indian classical music with various contemporary musical styles like hip-hop, Punjabi folk, R&B, and more. His music is listened to by thousands of people monthly across the world! Raaginder has performed at renowned venues like the White House, the Kennedy Center, the Staples Center, and the Wembley Arena. He has been working as a professional musician since 2011, which if I’m not wrong, was the year my family and I went to see him perform at UCLA and I still have the CD from that show! Raaginder got his Bachelors of Fine Arts in world music performance at none other than CalArts, California Institute of the Arts, where I happen to go right now! Raaginder has a universal style of music that touches on a variety of moods, bringing out a new sound that has amazed audiences wherever he goes!
