Super Power Podcast- Season 1 Episode 7
Lebohang Lebogo was born and raised in Kagiso Township. In 2010, she graduated top of her faculty in International Travel at College Campus. She joined South African National Blood Services (SANBS) in 2011 as a Trainee Medical Technician and now works as a Technical Support Officer for the Processing and Issuing Division. She is part of the SANBS Millennial Board, which is aimed at grooming young talent with the potential to become future leaders within the organization.
Lebo is currently training towards obtaining her Private Pilot license at the Africa Aviation Academy at Rand Airport, and has obtained her BVLOS (Beyond Visual Line of Sight) drone license as part of her role in being the first drone pilot at the SANBS where they will one day soon deliver emergency blood and blood products to rural communities where health care facilities are few and far between.
I always say this after chatting to my guests, but I loved listening to Lebo explain the world of aviation and how it has always been her lifelong dream to become a pilot. To be so determined to achieve your dreams is something I really admire, even when there are obstacles on the way. She reminded me that a dream deferred is certainly not a dream denied, and only she can determine when its time to stop. I was also taken aback by how humble she is, not realizing all the amazing accomplishments she has achieved thus far. She has been featured on an Avon campaign, which ran during women's month and was asked to be a speak at the Forbes Women's Summit in 2020. You can expect to hear much more about this young lady.
