Life moves fast, but growth happens in the pause. Reflection is the practice of slowing down long enough to see what God has been doing in the ordinary moments of your days. It's about creating space to notice where love was received and love was expressed—looking for the threads of truth that run through even routine experiences.
Just as Jesus regularly pulled His disciples aside to process what they had witnessed and learned, reflection invites you to become a student of your own spiritual journey. This isn't about having profound insights every time; it's simply about asking gentle questions: "Where did I see God today? What was He teaching me? How did He show up in ways I almost missed?"
Whether through a few quiet minutes at day's end, writing thoughts in a journal, or taking a longer look back over weeks and months, reflection helps scattered experiences make sense as part of God's bigger story. You don't need special training or perfect spiritual habits—just a willingness to pay attention and trust that God is always at work, even when you can't see it in the moment.
The Meta-Practice of Reflection is about learning to mine the gold from your everyday experiences and discovering how slowing down to reflect transforms ordinary moments into a deeper understanding of who God is and who you're becoming.
