Mr. Steve Mikell spent the last 41 years in the Pharmaceutical industry all with the same organization, though the name has changed due to mergers. I started 12/01/1980 with Burroughs Welcome who discovered and brought AZT to market. I have been a part of the battle against HIV from the very start. The company merged with Glaxo in 1995 to become Glaxo Welcome. In 1995 we brought Epivir (3tc) to market. In early 2000, the company merged with SmithKlineBeechum to form GSK and in 2009 ViiV Healthcare was born out of a combined effort with GSK and Pfizer.
