Offence usually starts small.
Just a thought. A word. An action.
And we take it personally. We let it in.
And soon, that tiny seed takes root, slowly spreading into resentment, anger, bitterness, and if we let it... into hate.
When we learn not to take things personally, when we learn that the actions of others are a reflection of their world and not ours, then we no longer open ourselves to the poison their opinions may become to us.
