"journey into selling graded video games..."
Jay's response to the Sept. Newsletter,
"Wow, I am a bit overwhelmed. Do you mind if I just ask you a few questions as I research this market?
Should I be buying only key Wata graded games or sets? Friends tell me set buying is for collectors but for flipping the "Key" is Keys! Thoughts?
Should I stay away from VGA? It does not seem to hold as much clout as Wata?
How do I make money buying Nintendo when some of these prices are already very high? If I told you I only had $5K to start what would you suggest that I put in my Ebay store?
Is there a minimum number of initial products I should have in inventory before I open my Ebay store?
Who is buying this stuff at these high prices? I mean who can afford that Mike Tyson Punchout at $19K? How much time do you think that we can make money selling into this market?
Should I just be scooping up inventory now and then when the market peaks, sell it all?
I feel like we are in the infancy stage of the graded video game market? I knew nothing about it until I saw that article by the New York Times. Yet some of these prices make me think we may crash sooner than later and I don't want to be left holding the bag.
Last question for now, John. If you could give a newbie like me a word of advice or lesson learned as I start my journey into selling graded video games, what would it be?"
