The Holy Spirit asks so little of us to come to our aid. Yet, the ego wants to offer all kinds of penance to "make ourselves worthy" of receiving God's good graces. What if none of this were necessary? In fact, doing something to merit God's grace blocks the reception of this very grace. We need do nothing to receive the Holy Spirit's help. Can we "do nothing?" The ego loves a "plan of action" it formulates to receive God's Love. At the same time, this plan blocks the Holy Spirit from giving fully. Less is More in this case. Doing "nothing" with Trust is more valuable than an ironclad plan forged in doubt. Do nothing then, and receive everything.
