Paul and Glenn are back for another entertaining and informative episode. This week we will discuss the topic of Sexuality and Sport. Some of what will be discussed include:

- How sexuality has been a neglected area of sports studies until recent years.

- The sad fact many sportspeople for years have hidden their sexuality from the public.

- Sportspeople who have been open about their sexuality

- The sad story of Justin Fashanu.

- A well-known Rugby League international forward and actor who became the first Rugby footballer in the world to announce he was gay.

- Gender equality through time.

- Women in sports who fought for equality e.g., Billie Jean-King

- Homophobia, transphobia and discrimination on the grounds of ones sexual orientation or gender identity in sports.

- The controversy surrounding transgender athletes and some well-known transgender athletes.

- Some well-known gay athletes

- An American former professional tennis player and ophthalmologist who is well-known for undergoing male to female sex reassignment surgery and was successful in being allowed to compete on the women’s tour.
