- The Ancient China game of Cuju and its relationship to soccer.
- Gymnastics in Ancient Greece and its decline during the Roman Empire.
- Rowing dating back to Ancient Egypt and Ancient Rome.
- A popular surface water sport invented by a determined young American man which has now developed into many disciplines.
