It was a year in which there were unexpected victories in the football codes, eg, Leister City, Western Bulldogs. Cronulla Sutherland supporters could finally turn off the porch light after a 50 year wait and Paul entertains us with the club's theme song.
A sporting icon sadly passed away, however, left the world inspiring many and leaving wonderful memories.
