A division bench of supreme Court has recently passed an order in regards to medical termination of pregnancy. The most important words to note were that henceforth the woman would have the right over her own body. Thus supreme Court has recognise that unwanted pregnancy happens even in couples who are lawfully married. the wider definition is given where even the rape which happens to married woman has been recognised. if you as a married women doesn't want to keep the infant womb then she would be allowed to go for medical termination of her pregnancy without consent of her husband. Along with the married woman the supreme Court has even recognised the women's right wherein even if they are unmarried they would now enjoy the same rights as the married womens have in the regards to medical termination of pregnancy.
