And thus as a qualified sports authority he puts before all of us why the sports fraternity is in opposition of declaring dahihandi Govinda as sportsman. First of all in the current Govinda festival Hon. chief minister of Maharashtra shree Eknath Shinde announced that henceforth dahi handi will be considered as qualified sports and the govinda's will be qualified for the 5% sportsman quota. This triggered the opposition from the sports where in each sportsman practices for years and gets Laurel for district state or nation by winning medals how can we compare such sportsman with a Govinda which is mere a celebration done and practice only for maximum month. advocate Arun have brought before us that in dahihandi utsav the govinda's are simply standing a top of each other then which Govinda in the group will be considered as real sportsman whether the person who is touching matka or handi or the lower part Govinda who is lifting all the Govindas on their shoulders. Then who will be the person certifying that Such an such Govinda has actually participated in the utsav. where is the competition liying in between govinda's and district state national level and how can we compare to Govinda mandals where in one may be having strength of few and other thousands according to their area strength
