No Surprises
Have you ever imagined what life would be if we knew everything before it happened? It would be boring. Life with surprises here and there makes it worth living. We are so preoccupied with plans and decisions that we fail to see the choices we need to make today. Without any conscious awareness, we make them habitual responses. God doesn’t want that from us. He wants to give us an abundant life filled with surprises. All we need to do is to trust Him.
When we walk with God, He gives us whatever we need. If it is direction, He directs us. If we need to make a decision, He guides us. In a nutshell, God wants to walk with Him. It is the high time we learn how to surrender to Him and ask Him to call us back whenever we stray and stop trusting Him.
What I processed from today’s Jesus Calling daily devotional includes the following:
• Life without surprises can be boring
• Whenever we trust in God and fully lean on Him, He aligns things in our favor
• Yesterday is history; tomorrow is not a guarantee. Make the best of today. Live in the present moment
• God shall never leave us nor forsake us. He is always there for us
