God Calls Us for Our Weaknesses, Not Our Strengths
God doesn’t call us because of how strong we are. He calls us because of our weaknesses and makes us perfect in His strength. Do you remember Moses? When God called Him, he felt his stammer was a great weakness, but God needed him with his weakness.
The beauty of God is that He gives grace to those who are humble, not proud. We can be so proud and what we think we know how to do and what we think we know. But that’s not why God calls us. He wants to our weaknesses amplify our need for Him as we process this out.
Our prayer should be for God to perfect our weaknesses, teach us how to depend entirely on Him and learn to rest in His peace that surpasses human understanding.
What I processed from today’s Jesus Calling daily devotional includes the following:
• We need to be humble for us to receive grace from God
• We should learn how to rest in God’s grace
• God uses our weaknesses for His glory and for us to be a blessing to other people
• When God’s light shines on you, you are no longer ignorant, you are no longer deceived, and you are no longer in the dark
• The more we are at peace, the more other people around us will be at peace
Scripture Mentioned in the Episode:
Luke 1:79
