Click on the link below to discover the #1 skill to making money with affiliate marketing. What do you think it is?
Hello, today I'm going to talk about how can Pinterest be used for affiliate marketing? You could be an affiliate for Amazon products or Sharesale. The problem with these physical products is there really is not a lot of money in them.
With Amazon you can make 1% for video games and 4.5% for books. If you compare that to digital products like online courses where I earn 100% of the money, plus there are more deep sales where you can earn $1,000-$4,000 per sale. That is a big difference.
I'm just sharing what is possible, so you know your options. My whole gameplan with affiliate marketing is to get someone off these platforms like Pinterest or Linkedin as quickly as I can and get them on my list.
Once someone is on my list I can promote these high ticket items and make money. What is the best way to get traffic from Pinterest? A great way is with group boards. A group board is just like a regular board, except that the owner can invite other people to pin on the board. A pin is similar to pinning up a message on a college board.
This pin can be seen by the owner of the board and everyone that follows the board. People can check out that pin and you can put a link in it. Where should that link go? It should go to our optin page to get someone on your list. Always be building your list.
You could send someone to an article or video where they can join our list. All roads lead to your list. There is a catch to this and this month Pinterest is changing their algorithm.
This is just like Instagram, Facebook and many others. Let's see if you can guess what pins are showing up in the feeds of people?
What would help a pin show up? Any guesses? Yep, the ones with the most engagement. It's just like Facebook right? There used to be a strategy of joining as many group boards as you can and pin as much as you can. Now, it's probably better to join less boards of better quality and engage with them more. You want higher quality group boards.
Of course you want to join group boards that are in your niche. It should have a decent number of followers with a good enough amount of contributors, but not too many. Also there should be a culture of repinning going on.
No board is going to be perfect, but this is what you want to go after. You might be wondering how do you even find group boards to be a contributor to. This is a great question.
There are Facebook and Linkedin Groups all about finding these boards, so you can network. You can also look into Reddit and search Pinterest groups.
There is a website dedicated to finding groups and it's called Pingroupie. Another great idea is to find out what other successful pinners are doing in your niche. You can find out what group boards they are pinning to and see if you can pin to the same ones.
How do you join a group board? What I have done is comment on any pin that belongs to the group board owner and ask for an invite. Some owners have a blog and you can find that address to contact them. Some of them are on Facebook and you can use Facebook to contact them.
In the end you have to contact the owner and ask them if you can be a contributor. A few more tips is in the boards you create a great idea is to add a board that is more personal.
Take a picture of your office, maybe some activities you like to do when not working. You could have a board dedicated to products and services you sale.
You could have an about me board. Whatever niche you are in you can break up into subniches and create boards on them.
