Click on the link below to discover the #1 skill to making money with affiliate marketing. What do you think it is?
Hello, today I want to answer the question is affiliate marketing worth learning how to do? I think learning how to do affiliate marketing the right way is a very valuable skill to learn for business in general.
A great book about affiliate marketing is called “Dot Com Secrets” by Russel Brunson. In the beginning of the book Russel talks to a Chiropractor that is not making as much money as he would like.
Russel also mentions that someone learned some of Chiropracting from YouTube and is making money from it. Of course that really angered his Chiropractor.
In a nutshell Russel helped the chiropractor make a sales funnel for his business. Low ticket items up front, which the chiropractor was already doing.
What the chiropractor was missing out on was the high ticket items towards the end of the sales funnel, and this was why he wasn't doing as good as he could have.
He helped the chiropractor come up with ideas to serve people even more and of course make more money. Maybe the story is true, maybe it's made up still it's a wonderful book I highly recommend you read it if you get a chance.
The same thing applies to many service business's as well as affiliate marketing. It's difficult to get someone's trust in fact it's very difficult. This applies to all business and why it's much easier to sale to an existing customer rather than to a new customer. This is also why Franchises exist and have taken over.
This is also why with affiliate marketing you absolutely need a list. You can do so much with a list and this is really where 95% of all the money is made.
Affiliate marketing really is a service business, but I really feel it's the best type. The guy who I learn from went into consulting for a time, but then went back into affiliate marketing because he thought it was much better and easier.
Consulting is very similar to affiliate marketing,. You are an adviser to someone. You can get paid per hour, by project or on retainer. A retainer fee is an advanced payment that is made to someone. It's considered a down payment on future services. If you are going to work on retainer you need a proven track record or a degree like a lawyer right?
The big difference between consulting and affiliate marketing is with affiliate marketing the work is mostly already done and you are selling the project complete.
With consulting not only do you have to market your consulting services, which takes time, but you also have to do the consulting work, which can eat up a lot of your time.
The cool thing with affiliate marketing especially if you are beginner is you can work with another marketer if you want and use their sales funnel.
This means you can still make very good money and all you have to do is focus on the traffic. There are many ways of getting traffic, but you are really getting paid to get rejected.
This is why you really should be believing in what your promoting, whatever that is. I once heard that the best formula for a good life is to only work for people you respect and admire. Only work with people you like and only sale products that you like. Do you think that is true?
It's difficult to get all 3, but it's an interesting philosophy.
I hope this video or podcast might have been helpful. If it was then please hit the thumbs up button. As always your comments are very much appreciated. Have you tried consulting or affiliate marketing, what has your experience been? Also, what is the hardest part about being an affiliate marketer that you think?
Bye for now.
