Hello, today I want to answer the question what is the purpose of affiliate marketing, why does it even exist. I really do think there are 2 worlds out there. This sounds like something from the matrix, do you want the blue pill or the red pill?
There is the internet world and then there is the real world. In the internet world people make deals buying and selling physical products, informational products, services and goods just like in the real world.
For example in the real world you can find good real estate deals and sale the deal to investors and make money. I was watching a Dave Ramsey video and this is what he did to make money after he went bankrupt to get back on his feet again and it worked.
In the internet you can do something similar. You can find people looking to move their products or services and connect them with people looking for it. You get paid when the deal goes through.
To help ensure the deal goes through you can use an autoresponder. This autoresponder helps you communicate with your customers. Communication is a very valuable skill.
The bigger the deal or the more deals you make the more money you make. As an affiliate marketer you are like a dating site that helps 2 people fall in love, but instead of romance it's usually in another niche.
This niche should be something you are interested in because you are going to be talking about it a lot and studying it. Some people think marketers are scum of the planet and they are not needed.
That is a negative way to look at things. There is a right way to do marketing and wrong way. Imagine someone has a leaky sink, that they are constantly trying to fix – but they can't fix it and they keep on replacing the bowl under the sink that collects the water.
You talk to the person with the leaky sink introduce someone that knows how to fix it and help make the deal happen. Now the person with the leaky sink wins because it's fixed, the person who fixed the sink wins and you win because you introduced the 2 lovers. Everyone wins I see this as a good thing.
This is what an affiliate marketer does is solve problems. The wrong way to do affiliate marketing or any type of marketing is try to convince someone.
Anytime you try to convince someone all kinds of problems happen. Imagine a guy wants to go out with a girl. He asks her and she says no. Right after she says no, he goes why not? She goes because I'm busy. They he goes “oh common it's good food.” You see how he is being pushy? Now she is annoyed, he feels stupid and this is not good.
A better idea would be to ask, she says no then he tries again later. It's the same thing in marketing. The cool thing with internet is you don't have to manually talk to people if you don't want.
Sometimes I do because I enjoy it, but I can let my Content like videos or ebooks take the rejection. Cool right?
