Philippians 4:19
And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
I am not speaking of Greed. I am speaking of something that effects each one of us, something we cannot explain in the absence of God, that void in life that no matter how we try or what we try to fill it with, we still walk away, empty, and unsatisfied. Longing for something, but not exactly sure what it is. How is this so? I was thinking about my Grandmother, Annie M. Anderson, recently, who passed some years ago, she was a domestic worker all her life, she rode the city bus to and from, every day and was never late, she never owned a car, her living accommodations early on were sparse at best. I can recall growing up sitting at the kitchen table helping her lick S&H stamps for her booklets she received from the grocery store. No matter her lack, she never failed to have an abundance of room for others, no matter who they were and yet she never yearned for an abundance of more. In fact, in all my years, I cannot recall hearing her ever complain. I am in awe and envious of that sort of contentment.
