On this Script/2/Screen panel of Kenyatta, Mark, Derek, and Jeffrey discuss the recently released 'Judas and the Black Messiah' a dramatic chronicling of the murder of Illinois Black Panther Party chairman Fred Hampton at the hands of the Chicago Police with help from the FBI in 1969. Starring Daniel Kaluuya as Hampton and LaKeith Stanfield as petty criminal William O’neal who was tasked by the FBI to infiltrate and provide vital intel on the Black Panther Party and their charismatic leader in the late 60s. In Pt. 1 we start with our initial thoughts on this powerful movie, some of our issues with certain scene's buildup, and why the story was structured thru O'neal's perspective.
