Jarrod Cande shares his journey with us. The big rightie from Florida sits and talks baseball to sneakers to Taylor Swift!


Cande attended Florida Southern, a Division II school in Lakeland, where he showcased his skills on the mound. In the 2021 MLB Draft, he was selected in the 17th round, 500th overall.


During his time at Florida Southern, Jarrod had the opportunity to play alongside Vaun Brown, who is now the Giants' #5 prospect. We'll discuss his experiences playing with Vaun and explore the concept of "flying under the radar" in the world of baseball prospects. Additionally, Cande had the privilege of playing with Dylan Crews at Sanford. We'll delve into his insights on Dylan as a talented 19-year-old and his subsequent rise as one of the best college baseball players in recent years.


Moving on to his professional career, Cande played with Fresno, where he had some impressive outings. We'll talk about his game logs, including a game where he struck out eight batters in just 3.2 innings, and the strategies he employed to achieve those high strikeout numbers.
