How making the playoffs is like losing 20lbs
A sports season is roughly 3-5 months long
So you’ll stay consistent for a few weeks to months and then fall off
Lose 20lbs…gain it right back..lose 10lbs Gain it right back
This gets frustrating for you and discourages you
This leads you to not even wanting to be in the gym, because you think its not worth it…
Now you’re up 20lbs and can’t even recognize that person in the mirror anymore..
Love handles
A beer belly
But here’s your issue ex-athlete
You have that time frame embedded in your mind that there is always “a break” after you accomplish something..
I learned this the hard way..staying stagnant for years in my training..
But I decided to start setting new goals consistently and Embrace the process not rush it
Just like It takes time for you to develop skills to be a great athlete…
You surrender to the process…
Even if it sucked you still got it done
So heres my #1 Tip for you to stay consistent
Always set a new goal..
You keep getting satisfied with your results and don’t keep that same hunger
So set a new Target every time…
Lose 20lbs? What’s next?
In sports you won your regular season… then playoffs…then championship..off season
Ex-athlete you need to find your playoffs..your next target…
Then you will not only lose the 20lbs but keep it off
Gain your confidence back to take your shirt off
Feel comfortable in your own skin again
