I lost myself
I was putting on a mask
I wanted to impress other people
I was shaped by my environment
And hey I had a great time in college
I loved the friends I made, loved the relationships I built, the lessons I learned
But you can EASILY lose yourself in that life
I was so unclear on what I wanted because I was constantly distracted planning my next weekend out
So much so I almost failed out sophomore year cause I was so unfocused
I finally learned that TIME AND ENERGY are our most value resource
And I was putting too much time and energy into things that weren’t bringing me closer to where I wanted to be
I was doing things for the fun in the moment
Because my long term goals weren’t clear
I thought I wanted to be a dietician, a Physical therapist, idk what the fuck I wanted
Once Covid happened and I was forced to be home my senior year or college
And I GOT CLEAR on where I wanted to go, it made its a whole lot easier to decide on my daily decisions
If certain activities don’t fit working towards that goal it doesn’t serve me!
That doesn’t mean you can’t celebrate every now and then but it can’t be ALL THE TIME!
Balance.
Because I got clear I was able to do a half Ironman, and GO ALL IN WITH MY COACHING!
Now I’ve reached my best shape I’ve ever been in and I’m helping people daily so the samething!
Ex-athlete you need clarity on your goals gnash why you haven’t been successful in your weight loss yet
Your too clouded
Your too in and out
YOU NEED TO DECIDE THAT THIS IS WHAT YOUR GOING TO DO!!
THAT THIS IS WHAT YOU WANT
And start slowly cutting out what doesn’t serve working towards that goal
Start taking action and MAKE IT HAPPEN!!
