Look AT WHATS in front of you Ex-athlete
I know you were a great athlete
I know you had a lot of great memories
I know it’s hard to let go of that
I know it’s tough to see the possibility of getting back to that
My last day on the wrestling Matt after my injury I was crying before I had my ankle surgery
But so MANY of us get too caught up in the “glory days”
“Glory days” happen in ALL season of life not just your time playing sports
We get so fixated on the good ol days on the field and reminiscing
Do you realize you could be creating more and even better memories now…create an even better story in the present..
There’s so much opportunity for you but you’ve blinded yourself from it because your just too caught up on your past
So here’s 4 tips to start to MOVE on from your past and create an even better future moving forward
1. Acknowledgement the past was amazing, be grateful for the experience. Thankful for the relationships you built. I will never forget my memories playing rugby, wrestling, baseball ever. I learned so much from those experiences.
2. Start to write a new story for yourself now. What do you really wanna do with your life moving forward? What gets you excited ? What do you catch yourself day dreaming about now that sports are over? What’s a passion you’ve always wanted to pursue?
3. Awareness of time. You’re probably 20s-40s reading this. Do you realize you have AN ENTIRE other life to live still and then some. Like what do you mean “glory days”, YOU HAVE SO MUCH TIME TO CREATE MORE MEMORIES.
4. Your past self was not better than your current self. Your current self is a product of your past self. Which means YOU ARE STILL IN THERE, that athlete is still there, but it’s begging to come out again and start acting like the man you want to become now. The inner athlete NEVER leaves you, it has a burning desire to want more out of life.
And if you have fallen off after sports, and want to start stepping into that man that you know you’re capable of stepping into
Dm me the word “athlete” and I’ll send over a free copy of my ex-athlete solution to lose your next 10-20lbs and get that inner savage sparked again 💪
